Yep, another blog to join the hundreds of millions already out there in the world. I have to admit I've become addicted to them lately, and it's hard to get away from the words of wisdom from the experienced veterans. But it's also suddenly popped into my head that all I'm doing is reading, as opposed to actually going out there and following those nuggets of advice. What the hell's up with that?
Not only that, but even the other student blogs I've read are from those who're already in their higher level classes, or have outstanding skills. (No offense to you Calarts and Ringling guys, but you're kind of a world away from those of us in the Midwest who only have Chicago, enthusiasm, and a portfolio that didn't quite cut it).
So even if no one reads this, it's my aim to post my discoveries, whether it's experimenting with something I've learned from a professional, a current assignment, something that just failed to work, or someone so freakin awesome I just have to gush about 'em. And then some.
